Key Dates:
The 2025 International Conference on Advanced Robotics (ICAR) will be hosted in San Juan, Argentina, on 2-5 December 2025 and it is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. It brings together scientists, researchers, and practitioners working on advanced robotic topics and promoting and validating robots in our society. ICAR consists of plenary talks, workshops, and oral presentations from all areas of robotics, focusing on emerging paradigms and application areas. The conference welcomes original contributions describing technically rigorous scientific and research advances in robotics and other allied technologies, such as innovative ideas and concepts, discoveries and improvements, novel applications, and distinguished studies and projects about advanced robotic systems and their impact on society. Papers should contain original research that has neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere; manuscripts will be run through plagiarism-checking tools.
Papers are solicited on all aspects of these areas:
Authors are invited to submit their papers via the PaperPlaza Conference/Journal Management System, using their existing accounts or registering as new users. Authors can submit the complete manuscripts in PDF format following IEEE’s author’s guidelines either for LaTex or Word for the preparation of their manuscripts. The full manuscript should be 6 pages, references included. IEEE encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers. All papers will be refereed by the program committee.

As peer-reviewed archival publications, all accepted papers will be hosted on IEEE Xplore.
Papers should be six pages in length, with up to two extra pages. The number of pages includes the references, appendices, etc. A short video (1-minute maximum) can also be attached to your paper to supplement results (see Instructions below).
All papers must be in English and submitted electronically in PDF (up to 6 MB) format via PaperPlaza. To ensure formatting compliance (e.g. margins, fonts and size) the templates should be used (links provided above). A 1-minute video (up to 10 MB) can be added to supplement your paper. Videos are not mandatory; rather, it’s an opportunity to augment one’s paper to visibly showcase results. MPG, MPEG or MP4 video formats can be used. One can upload or re-upload the video attachment via PaperPlaza.
